Service Guarantee
If a problem related to my repair returns, I want you to know what to expect and how to get help.
Effective October 20, 2026
The short version
- Software repairs: covered for 30 days for the same issue or work.
- Hardware repairs: covered for six months for the parts I replaced or worked on and the related workmanship.
- Covered warranty rechecks do not require another diagnostic deposit.
This summary does not replace the full guarantee below.
Software repairs: 30 days
Software repair work is covered for 30 days from completion for the same issue or work performed. If that problem returns, contact me within the coverage period so I can investigate and correct covered work.
This covers the original service. A new infection, unrelated issue, or later change that caused the problem is a separate matter. I’ll explain what I find before proposing any charge.
Hardware repairs: six months
Hardware repair work is covered for six months from completion. Coverage applies to the hardware I actually replaced or worked on and the related workmanship. It does not extend to every component in the computer.
If an installed part I supplied or the related repair work fails within this period, contact me for a recheck. Customer-supplied parts remain subject to their seller or manufacturer’s coverage; my related workmanship remains covered. Any special part limitations must be disclosed and agreed before the repair, not introduced afterward.
What is outside this coverage?
New or unrelated problems, ordinary wear, and damage caused after the repair by drops, liquid, misuse, or power events are outside the service warranty. Changes by another person are outside coverage when they cause the problem; an unrelated change does not automatically void all coverage.
This warranty does not promise recovery of lost data or cover failure of a component that was not part of the repair. A different fault that only shows up once the original problem is fixed is not covered either, but it does not reduce the coverage for the work I did, and I’ll explain any proposed charge before starting (see Testing and hidden problems). Applicable rights that cannot be limited remain in effect.
How to request help
Call 254-613-1445 or email [email protected]. Include your name, the serviced device, and what you are experiencing. Please contact me within the coverage period; I can arrange the appointment afterward.
Covered warranty rechecks do not require another diagnostic deposit. If the issue appears unrelated, I’ll explain any proposed diagnostic charge before starting additional work.
Please arrange an appointment before bringing the device back. Once I inspect it, I’ll explain the findings and the appropriate correction, which may include re-performing the work or repairing or replacing a covered part. If that is not practical, we’ll discuss a reasonable adjustment.
Ready to get it fixed?
Drop-off and pickup by appointment. I’ll confirm a time with you first.
